Three Buccaneers named to United Soccer Coaches Junior College all-region team

Three Blinn College men's soccer players were named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division I Men's All-Region Team.

Farit Ha (Houston) earned first-team all-region honors and Ethan Unger (Frisco) and Stefan Fevrier Sildor (New York, N.Y.) claimed second-team accolades.

"I am excited that three players earned recognition from the United Soccer Coaches," said Michael McBride. "Farit Ha had received all-region honors by the NJCAA after a phenomenal season where he was our leading scorer, but it was a pleasant surprise to see Ethan and Stefan recognized as well. To have two freshmen recognized is very exciting for the future of the program."

A sophomore midfielder, Ha played in 17 games and led Blinn with 17 goals, two assists, and 36 points. He finished the season with a .630 shots on goal percentage and led Blinn with a .370 shooting percentage.

Freshman midfielder Unger played in 17 games. He scored one goal and tallied seven assists. Freshman forward Fevrier Sildor played in 18 games, scored nine goals and recorded three assists.

Blinn finished the season with a 10-7-1 overall record. The Buccaneers claimed a spot in the NJCAA Region XIV Men's Soccer Championship Tournament as the No. 3 seed with a 9-4-1 conference record. Their season concluded with a 5-4 loss to Angelina College in the quarterfinals.
