The Sports Medicine team at Blinn College is dedicated to the care and prevention of athletic injuries and the general health of the athletes serving Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Volleyball, Football, Soccer, Golf, Cheer and Dance. Blinn offers courses designed to help student athletic trainers grow in their knowledge of athletic training. The athletic training program is involved with many aspects of the athletic department and receives recognition for the work that it does. Blinn places an emphasis on practical and cognitive knowledge and recognition of injuries.

Dr. Joseph Iero joined CHI St. Joseph Health Orthopaedic Associates after completion of an Orthopaedic residency in San Antonio, Texas and a Sports Medicine fellowship in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Iero treats a wide range of orthopedic injuries with a special interest in sports medicine, shoulder and knee problems. He speaks Italian and enjoys Italian wine and cuisine. He and his wife have three children.
