Bossier Parish tops Blinn women’s basketball, 101-83

BOSSIER CITY, La. — Blinn College women's basketball (10-17, 3-12) lost an early lead for Bossier Parish Community College to cruise to a 101-83 victory Wednesday night.

Missy Archie recorded 26 points for the second time this season to lead Blinn's offense, while Alexus Wykoff followed with 19. Alexus Brigham (14), Imani Wimbish-Gay (12) and Kristine Ezimako (10) each reached double-digits also.

Blinn took off with an early 21-17 lead in the first quarter, but lost it in the second quarter. Bossier Parish outscored the Buccaneers by nine points to lead 48-43 at the half.

In the third quarter, Bossier Parish scored 35 points to pull ahead 83-65. Blinn kept up with Bossier Parish in the final quarter as both teams put up 18 points.

Blinn returns home to take on Jacksonville College Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. in the Kruse Center.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
