Buccaneers enter national tournament as No. 2 seed

The defending national champion Blinn College volleyball team will enter the NJCAA Division I Volleyball Championships as the No. 2 seed in the nation, the NJCAA announced today.

With the second seed, Blinn College will face 15th-seeded Hutchinson Community College on at 11 a.m. Nov. 20 on Court 2 in the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyo.

The Buccaneers have won the national championship two of the last three years, including last season, when they defeated Region XIV Conference rival Tyler Junior College in five sets in the national championship match.

This year, the Buccaneers (36-1) defeated Tyler in the finals of the Region XIV Conference Championships. Blinn enters the tournament on a 21-match win streak.
