Blinn’s Reeve, Keamo earn weekly honors

Blinn College sophomore Rebecca Reeve was named the Region XIV Conference South Zone player of the week and freshman Jordyn Keamo was named setter of the week, the league has announced.

Reeve posted 26 kills, 22 digs and hit .411 in the Buccaneers two victories on the week, 3-0 sweeps of Wharton County Junior college and Trinity Valley Community College. A 6-foot outside hitter from Adelaide Australia, Reeve averaged 4.33 kills per set.

Keamo dished out 75 assists on the week, adding 17 digs, two aces and six kills. A 5-foot-8 setter from Mililani, Hawaii, Keamo averaged 12.5 assists per set.

The Buccaneers (20-1, 3-0) host San Jacinto College at 6 p.m. tonight in the Blinn P.E. Building.
