Buccaneers sweep Region XIV Conference South Zone weekly honors

The second-ranked Blinn College volleyball team swept the Region XIV South Zone weekly honors last week as Rebecca Reeve, Jordyn Keamo and Alyssa LaMont each earned recognition.

Reeve was named player of the week after posting 42 kills, 29 digs, five aces and a .410 hitting percentage in the Buccaneers' wins over Wharton County Junior College, Laredo College and Coastal Bend College. Reeve averaged 4.67 kills per set.

Keamo was named setter of the week after she dished out 91 assists, good for 10.1 per game. She also added five blocks, 18 kills and three aces.

LaMont posted 81 percent passing on the week, finishing with 26 digs and four aces to earn libero of the week honors.

The Buccaneers are 31-1 on the season and have won 16 consecutive matches. They travel to San Jacinto College-Central Tuesday for a 6 p.m. match before playing their final home game Thursday at 6 p.m. vs. Trinity Valley Community College.
