Blinn’s LaMont, Keamo earn player of the week honors

Blinn College sophomore libero Alyssa LaMont and freshman setter Jordyn Keamo earned Region XIV Conference South Zone player of the week honors for Oct. 5-12 after leading the Buccaneer volleyball team to a pair of 3-0 victories.

The second-ranked Buccaneers swept Lee and Laredo last week to improve to 27-1 on the season and 6-0 in league play.

Keamo dished out a combined 58 assists to go along with four blocks and 19 digs, while LaMont had 19 digs and six assists.

San Jacinto's Kerstin Jenkins was named player of the week after posting 20 kills in a 3-1 win over Lamar State – Port Arthur.

The Buccaneers host Victoria College at 6 tonight in the Blinn P.E. Building.
