Buccaneers defeat Laredo Community College, 3-0

The Blinn College volleyball team posted another victory Saturday with a 2-0 defeat of Laredo Community College.

The Buccaneers swept Laredo Community College 25-14, 25-20, 25-19 behind a double-double with 30 assists and 10 digs from Jordyn Keamo. Keamo also added 5 kills.

Rebecca Reeve added 12 kills and six digs, and Abolanle Onipede tallied nine kills and four blocks.Tawnee Luafalemana also finished with eight kills and four blocks, and Trinity Alualu with another eight kills and two blocks.

Alyssa LaMont posted 15 digs and Rachel Sharp added nine digs and two kills.

"We played really good defense today. I don't remember a game where we had so many digs," coach Erin Mellinger said. "Laredo is a good team and we played really well against them."

The Buccaneers return to action Tuesday when they host Victoria College for a 6 p.m. match at the Blinn P.E. Building
