Blinn makes 18 3-pointers in 93-70 win over Bossier Parish

BOSSIER CITY, La. — The Blinn College women's basketball team (14-4, 3-3) made 18 3-pointers in its 93-70 win over Bossier Parish Community College on Wednesday night.  

"It was a great team win where all 15 players got to play and they played hard," said Jeff Jenkins, Blinn head coach. "This was a good road win for us."

Gabriela Bosquez led the Buccaneers with 17 points and Kristine Ezimako followed with 16. Mia Cherry and Alanna Spencer led Blinn with five 3-pointers each to total 15 points apiece, while Hailey Atwood chipped in 11.

The Buccaneers grabbed an early 19-16 lead over the Lady Cavaliers in the first quarter and extended it to 41-34 at the half. Blinn continued to stay ahead 70-53 in the third quarter and added 23 points in the final quarter for the 23-point win.

Next, the Buccaneers will return home to the Kruse Center to compete against Jacksonville College on Saturday, January 18, at 2 p.m. The Blinn men's basketball team will conclude the doubleheader against Jacksonville at 4 p.m.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 41 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
