Blinn women’s basketball defeats NEO A&M, 90-68, to conclude the Grayson Classic undefeated

DENISON, Texas — The Blinn College women's basketball team (2-0) concluded the Grayson Classic with an undefeated 2-0 record after defeating Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, 90-68, on Saturday.

"It was a great team win against a historically good program," said Jeff Jenkins, Blinn head coach. "We played extremely well offensively, especially in the first and third quarters."

Kristine Ezimako and Hailey Atwood led Blinn's offense with a combined 29 points. Gabriela Bosquez added 12 points, Alanna Spencer recorded 10 and Jessica Soders recorded nine.

Blinn leaped out to a 30-21 lead in the first quarter to set an early tone. The Buccaneers outscored NEO A&M 15-7 in the second quarter to hold a 45-28 lead at the halfway point.

Blinn's offense continued to dominate in the third quarter as the Buccaneers scored 28 points to lead 73-48 entering the final period. The Buccaneers finished the final quarter with 17 points for the 90-68 win.

Next, Blinn will travel to compete against Temple College on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 5:30 p.m.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 41 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
