Blinn women’s soccer concludes season with loss to Angelina

LUFKIN, Texas — Blinn College women's soccer concluded the season with a 4-0 loss to Angelina College on Saturday night. 

The Buccaneers finished the season with a 4-12-1 record and 3-8-1 conference record.

On defense, Julia Janczak made her debut as a goalkeeper and led Blinn with nine saves, while Sarah Schlemmer followed with five saves. 

Angelina took a 3-0 lead in the first half after scoring in the 10th, 17th and 34th minutes. The Roadrunners scored their final goal in the 73rd minute. 

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
