In addition to the win, Blinn celebrated Sophomore Day. Sophomores Ryleigh Smith, Kaela Stripling, Hailey Burke, Allison Camacho and Ashley Mora were honored.

"Our sophomores are a great group of young women who have set the foundation for the program moving forward," Smith said. "They have dedicated a whole lot more than we could have ever asked for. The fact that they were able to set the standard at Blinn College and then get to continue their careers on both the soccer field and in the classroom is really exciting for us."

Next, Blinn will compete in its final home game of the season against Jacksonville College on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
