Blinn women’s soccer drops road game to LSU-Eunice

EUNICE, La. — Blinn College women's soccer (2-11-1, 2-7-1) dropped a non-conference game by the score of 5-0 to Louisiana State University-Eunice on Wednesday night on the road.

Sarah Schlemmer led Blinn's defense with 10 saves, while Kaysi Gordon recorded five.

Blinn had three-of-five shots on goal, but were not able to score.

LSU-Eunice took a 3-0 lead in the first half by scoring in the fourth, 14th and 29th minutes. The Bengals added two more goals in the second half in the 53rd and 74th minutes for a 5-0 final.

Next, Blinn will play in its final home match of the season against Cisco College on Friday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m. at Rankin Field.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
