Blinn women’s soccer falls to No. 2 Navarro

BRENHAM, Texas — Blinn College women's soccer (2-9, 2-6) fell to No. 2 Navarro College, 5-0, on Saturday night. 

"We are continuing to improve, but just have to put the final piece together," said Jorden Smith, Blinn head coach. 

Blinn's Zoe Madrid was strong on defense with nine saves. On offense, the Buccaneers took two shots. 

Navarro held a 3-0 lead at the half after scoring in the seventh, 22nd and 43rd minutes. The Bulldogs increased their lead to 5-0 after scoring in the 57th and 62nd minutes.

Blinn will host No. 1 Tyler Junior College on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at Rankin Field. 

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
