Paris slips past Blinn, 2-0

BRENHAM, Texas — Paris Junior College slipped past Blinn College women's soccer (2-7, 2-5) by the score of 2-0 on Tuesday night at Rankin Field.  

On defense, Kaysi Gordon led the Buccaneers with two saves. Blinn's offense worked hard with seven corner kicks, eight shots on goal and 23 total shots.

Blinn and Paris both used a strong defense for the game to remain scoreless at the half. Paris landed on the board in the 54th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The second goal came in the 71st minute for Paris to take a 2-0 lead.

Blinn College women's soccer will continue conference play against Jacksonville College on Friday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. at Rankin Field. The Blinn College men's soccer game will follow at 7 p.m.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
