Buccaneers’ Dunnigan, Henderson earn postseason accolades

Two players on the Blinn College men's basketball team have been named All-Region XIV for the 2015-16 season.

Morris Dunnigan was named to the All-Region XIV Conference and South Zone first team while Corey Henderson received South Zone honorable mention.

"I am happy for Morris and Corey," said Blinn coach Scott Schumacher. "With team success comes individual accolades."

Dunnigan led the conference in scoring with 22.9 points per game while also hauling in 5.8 rebounds per game.

Henderson was second on the team with 14.8 points per game, and the University of Tulsa signee made 73 3-point shots during the season.

Blinn finished with its second consecutive 20-win season with a 22-10 overall finish and a 10-9 record in conference. The Buccaneers earned the eighth seed in the Region XIV Tournament and beat Kilgore College 63-53 in the first round before falling to eventual tournament champion Trinity Valley Community College 86-73 in the quarterfinals.
