Buccaneers roll past Houston Community College, 113-64

BRENHAM, Texas – Blinn College men's basketball came off the holiday break looking strong in blowing out Houston Community College 113-64 Tuesday night inside the P.E. Building in Brenham.

The Buccaneers started fast by leading by 20 at the half and then outscored Houston 60-31 in the second half to improve to an 11-2 overall record and remain at 2-2 in Region XIV play after the non-conference victory.

Morris Dunnigan led Blinn with 26 points while Victor Dukes added 13 points. John Dewey, James Harrison and Emmanuel Sanosi each scored 10 points in the victory. Link Kabadyundi was a force in the paint with 15 rebounds and six blocks for the Buccaneers.

Dunnigan scored 16 of his 26 points in the first half to set the tone for Blinn that grabbed a 53-33 lead at the break. 

The Buccaneers played well as a team down the stretch and expanded the lead in the second half to win by 49 points. 

Blinn will have a tough test on Saturday, Jan. 2 when it hosts Kilgore College for a conference game at 4 p.m.
