Buccaneers cruise to victory over Houston Gladiators, 102-73

BRENHAM, Texas — Nic Tata scored 16 points to help lead Blinn College men's basketball (11-2, 1-2) to a victory over the Houston Gladiators, 102-73, on Wednesday night in the Kruse Center.

"We came out extremely hard at the beginning of the game to take the Gladiators out of their rhythm early and never let up," said Scott Schumacher, Blinn head coach.

JaQuan Morris followed Tata on offense with 15 points, while Kai Tease and Matt Adams each recorded 13.

The Buccaneers came out strong in the first half to take a 57-27 lead. In the second half, Blinn added 45 points to the board for the win.

The Buccaneers will resume conference play against Bossier Parish Community College on Friday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. in the Kruse Center.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
