No. 19 Blinn enters Region XIV Tournament as the No. 6 seed

The No. 19 Blinn College volleyball team will enter the 2019 NJCAA Region XIV Volleyball Championship Tournament as the No. 6 seed Nov. 1-3 at the Tyler Junior College Wagstaff Gym.

The Buccaneers concluded the regular season 29-6 overall with a 4-5 conference record. They will face No. 3-seeded Panola College on Friday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. The 18th-ranked Panola finished with a 25-7 overall record and 7-2 conference record.

The regional tournament consists of the top eight teams from the North and South divisions of the region. Four of the eight teams in the tournament hold a top-20 ranking in the NJCAA. The teams that will join the Buccaneers on the court are No. 1 Navarro College, No. 9 Trinity Valley Community College, No. 18 Panola, Laredo College, Lee College, Tyler Junior College and Coastal Bend College.

Admission is free to students with a college ID, children under 12, and adults over 65. Otherwise, the cost is $6 for adults, $5 for students without an ID, and $10 for a tournament pass.

The top two teams from the tournament will advance to the NJCAA Division I Volleyball National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kan., Nov. 21-23.
