Buccaneers fall to Kilgore, 88-53

BRENHAM, Texas — The Blinn College men's basketball team (12-6, 2-5) fell to Kilgore College, 88-53, on Saturday in the Kruse Center.

"We didn't perform at a level that is conducive to winning and we need to get back to the drawing board and do a better job," said Scott Schumacher, Blinn head coach.

Azariah Seay led the Buccaneers with 12 points, while Parker Gettys scored a season-high 11.

Kilgore jumped on Blinn early to take a 45-19 lead at the half. The Rangers added another 43 points to the board in the second half for the win.

Next, the Buccaneers will travel to compete against Lee College on Wednesday, January 15, at 7 p.m.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 41 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
