Blinn baseball picks up first pair of wins against Coastal Bend, 4-0 and 4-2

BEEVILLE, Texas — Blinn College baseball picked up its first pair of wins of the season against Coastal Bend College on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers opened the doubleheader with a 4-0 victory and finished it with a 4-2 victory in the ninth inning.

With the pair of wins, Blinn's record increases to 2-1.

"It was a good day for our club since winning is hard and they found a way to get two," said Harvey McIntyre, Blinn head coach. "We pitched at a very high level for 16 innings and found a way to complete a game offensively, not with runs late in the game, to separate ourselves. I am very proud of the way our team competed today."
