No. 18 Blinn falls to Jacksonville College on the road

The 18th-ranked Blinn College men's soccer team dropped a Region XIV road tilt to Jacksonville College, 2-0, on Tuesday in Jacksonville, Texas.

The Buccaneers are now 5-2-1 overall with a 2-2 region record.

"Today was 100% my fault," Blinn head coach Michael McBride said. "I didn't set the lads up correctly, and I take full responsibility for the loss."

Jacksonville scored in the 32nd and 57th minutes and out-shot the Bucs 16-9.

Blinn sophomore goalkeeper Kevin Pena made six saves in goal.

The Buccaneers resume their season with a region clash against No. 8 Tyler at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, in Tyler, Texas.
