MAKING THE TEAM

The Tryouts…

The Blinn College Cheer Program will host a number of tryout clinics each Fall and Spring to assess the skills, character, and potential of interested and qualified candidates for the cheer squad.

Recruit clinics are conducted in a practice-like environment during which the level of each candidate’s skills and talents, and their ability to work with current and prospective team members, will be evaluated. A short interview with the candidate may be conducted at any time during the sessions.

We will have one mandatory tryout clinic and a closed final try-out with. The clinic and final tryout sessions are mandatory unless arranged with the coaching staff ahead of time. Final team selections will be made at the conclusion of the final try-out. Try-outs will be held in the Heineke Gym on the Brenham campus (map).

To schedule tryout attendance, e-mail head coach Sarah Barland Flisowski at sarah.barland@blinn.edu or cheer coach Amanda Logback at amanda.logback@blinn.edu

Attire: Candidates should wear athletic practice attire to all recruit clinics and tryouts.
