Jami Ingram enters her 17th season as the assistant coach for the Buccaneers in 2021. Coach Ingram was born and raised in Richmond, British Columbia.

She and head coach Rick Church received National Fastpitch Coaches Association Midwest Coaching Staff of the Year honors following the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Ingram, Church, and Coach Haley Long were named the NFCA Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year and the Region XIV Coaching Staff of the Year in 2011 and 2012. Ingram, Church, and Jaymie Heibel were named the 2015 NFCA Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year, and Church and Ingram were named the 2019 Region XIV Coaching Staff of the Year.

Last season, Blinn finished 20-31 overall but finished 13-11 in Region XIV to earn a berth in the region tournament. In addition, Blinn softball was named a 2021-22 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year after maintaining a team grade point average of 3.46 throughout the academic year. Blinn sophomore infielder Natilee Reed was also named a co-recipient of the 2022 Dr. James H. Atkinson Cup after she maintained the highest cumulative grade point average in the athletic department at 4.0.

The Buccaneers posted a 22-19 record during the 2021 season and went 13-5 in Region XIV. Blinn qualified for the Region XIV South Regional and defeated Coastal Bend College in the first round.

In 2020, the Buccaneers started the season with a No. 11 national ranking and posted a 7-9 record before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Church celebrated his 900th career win in 23 seasons as a head coach when the Buccaneers opened the season with a win over Lake Land College on Jan. 31. Church ranks 14th in all-time softball wins in the NJCAA. In addition, Blinn softball was named a 2019-20 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year after maintaining a team grade point average of 3.35 throughout the academic year.

Ingram began her softball career playing for Church at Blinn College during the 2000 and 2001 seasons. She earned All-Region XIV honors as a freshman and sophomore. She also was a member of the academic honor roll all four semesters and was tabbed a President’s Scholar in Spring 2000.

Ingram continued her softball career at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) where she started both seasons for the Pioneers and earned numerous accolades. During her junior year, she was awarded second-team all-conference, first-team all-region, and third-team All-American as a designated hitter. She also was an Academic All-American for the 2002 season. During her senior year, she was awarded first-team all-conference, first-team all-region, and first-team All-American as a catcher. She also was named the 2003 NFCA Diamond Sports Catcher of the Year in Division II Softball. Ingram was named to the school's Hall of Fame in 2012.

Ingram spent two years as a graduate assistant coach at Texas Woman’s University while completing her master’s degree in 2004 and 2005.

She holds an associate degree in kinesiology from Blinn (2001), a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a teaching certification from Texas Woman’s University (2003), and a master’s degree in kinesiology from TWU (2005).

Ingram teaches Personal Health for the Division of Health and Kinesiology at Blinn College. She also is a member of the Buccaneer Alumni Lettermen Association.
