Chuck Parsons begins his 27th season in college football and his 10th at Blinn College. Parson serves in a football operations role for the Buccaneers, with a focus on recruiting.

As recruiting coordinator, Parsons helps guide the program’s high school recruiting efforts and outgoing player recruitment. Since arriving in 2014, he has helped more than 160 players advance to four-year schools, including more than 120 to NCAA Division I schools.

Parsons spent 10 years at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), where he was hired as the defensive coordinator and secondary coach in 2003. In 2005, he was promoted to assistant head coach, and in 2007, he was appointed head coach and defensive coordinator. Twice during his time at NDSCS, the Wildcats made it to the Graphic Edge Bowl.

Prior to NDSCS, Parsons spent 2000-02 at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., where he worked with the defensive line, secondary, and linebackers. In 2000, NSU won the Lone Star Conference North Division and the overall league championship for the second straight year.  It also was the second consecutive season that the team qualified for the NCAA Division II National Playoffs.

Parsons began coaching at Southwest (Minn.) State University in 1997 as a student assistant working with the offensive line.

During his 27 years, Parsons has coached or mentored 95 all-conference players, 70 all-region players, seven NJCAA All-Americans, five NJCAA players of the week, six conference players of the week, and two conference players of the year. As a position coach, he has coached 55 players who have signed with NCAA Division I schools and numerous others who have gone on to Division II, Division III and NAIA schools.

Parsons earned his Bachelor of Science in sports management from Southwest State University, now Southwest Minnesota State University, in 2000 and his Master of Science in college teaching in health and human performance from Northeastern State University in 2002.
