Blinn releases 2022 schedule

The 2022 Blinn College football schedule has been released, signifying the next step toward the new season of Buccaneer football.

"I'd be remiss not to say that we already have a plan for what's coming this year," said Blinn head coach Ryan Mahon, who is entering his seventh season with the Bucs. "We're already deep into our preparation for each opponent, how we're going to attack things week to week, and that brings some excitement to the program for the next few months."

Blinn will play a nine-game schedule this fall which includes six home games. Seven of those contests will be Southwest Junior College Football Conference matchups.

Blinn will play all six of its home games at Cub Stadium, located at 1600 E. Tom Green St. in Brenham.

The Buccaneers open their season at home against non-conference foe Louisiana Community Christian College at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27. This will be the second straight season Blinn will host LCCC after defeating the Wildcats 74-12 in Week 4 of the 2021 campaign.

After a Week 4 bye, the Bucs hit the road for the first time when they take on defending NJCAA Division I national champion and conference adversary New Mexico Military Institute at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, in Roswell, N.M.

The Bucs will host Navarro College for homecoming at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.
