2017 Tryout Dates

Tuesday, June 13 and Tuesday, June 20

9 a.m.: Outfielders register

11 a.m.: Infielders register

1:30 p.m.: All pitchers and catchers register

All tryouts will be held at Leroy Dreyer Field on the Blinn College - Brenham campus, 902 College Ave., Brenham, TX 77833

According to NJCAA Rules Section 1 Article VI, pg. 62

D. A college may conduct no more than (2) try out / auditions per sport per academic

E. A college may conduct no more than one tryout / audition per prospective student-athlete per academic year

You are only allowed to attend one of the two tryout dates we are hosting

F. A prospective student-athlete must have completed his / her junior year in high school to participate

G. A prospective student-athlete must have valid verification that he/she has had a physical exam administered by a qualified health care professional licensed to administer physical exams with in (1) year of tryout / audition

I. Tryout / Audition per individual must not exceed (2) hours

Please bring:

1. A copy of a current physical exam
2. Information sheet filled out (turn it in at registration)
3. $50 tryout fee (make checks payable to Blinn College Baseball)
4. All personal baseball equipment
5. Signed waiver (if you are under 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian must sign the form)

Areas of emphasis

• Timed 60-yard dash
• Evaluation of arm strength from defensive positions
• Evaluation of defensive actions
• Evaluation of offensive abilities in batting practice
• Pitchers will be evaluated in the bullpen (15-20 pitches)
