Dr. Kenneth Masenda joined the Blinn College District as an athletic student success coach in January 2017. His duties and obligations include advising each of Blinn's NJCAA athletic programs as well as Blinn's athletic training program. His advising duties also include Blinn's KIPP, OneGoal and YesPrep programs. Dr. Masenda also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Humanities Department. In March 2021, he became the Assistant Director of Academic Advising and Counseling on the Brenham Campus. 

Prior to his arrival at Blinn, Dr. Masenda was an academic advisor for athletics at Tyler Junior College. In his six years at Tyler, he oversaw academic advising for all 12 of Tyler's NJCAA athletic programs as well as advising duties for Tyler's athletic training program. He also taught as an adjunct instructor for the college and assisted in other duties with the departments of advising, admissions, and the registrar's office. 

Dr. Masenda earned a doctorate in higher education from Texas A&M University-Commerce in December 2015. His dissertation was entitled "Academic Advising for Student Athletes at Two-Year Colleges." He also holds a master’s degree from A&M - Commerce, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an associate degree from Navarro College. He is a native of Denton, Texas.
