BEEVILLE, Texas- The Blinn College Buccaneers held onto their unblemished conference record after sweeping Coastal Bend College, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon in Beeville.
The Buccaneers are 22-5 overall and 8-0 in conference after trampling Coastal Bend College by the score of 25-10, 25-16, and 25-7.
"We worked hard today," said Blinn head coach Kalie Mader. "I am proud of our team's adjustments late into the match."
The Buccaneers quickly took a 1-0 lead in the match after downing Coastal Bend College with a 15-point victory. Blinn continued to dominate the match after taking the second set 25-16. In the third set, the Buccaneers pulled away with a 25-7 victory for the sweep.
The Buccaneers will come back home to continue conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. against No. 15 San Jacinto College-Central in the P.E. Building.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 36 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
