LAREDO, Texas- The Blinn College Buccaneers remain undefeated in the Region XIV conference after sweeping Laredo Community College, 3-0, on Friday night in Laredo.
The Buccaneers are 21-5 overall and 7-0 in conference after sweeping Laredo by the score of 25-21, 25-19, and 25-21 for their 12th sweep of the season.
"It wasn't our cleanest win, but it is always nice to get a conference win on the road," said Blinn head coach Kalie Mader.
The Buccaneers grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the match after downing Laredo, 25-21. Blinn kept the momentum in its favor with a 25-19 win in the second set, and downed Laredo with a 25-21 victory in the third set.
The Buccaneers will continue conference play in an away match on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. at Coastal Bend College.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 36 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
