Christiana Sulak enters her first season as the men’s and women’s assistant soccer coach at Blinn College. Sulak comes to Blinn after serving as the volunteer assistant coach for three Dallas Texans Club soccer teams during the past five seasons.

Sulak also spent the last three seasons as a private skills coach focusing on improving players’ technical, tactical, and physical games. In 2017, she was a Catholic Christian missionary in New Zealand supporting college students and young adults in ministry. While there, she also helped run the local women’s soccer team. Her coaching philosophy is leadership through service.

Sulak was a four-year starting defender at two universities. Known for her leadership, speed, and physical play, Sulak was a key player on the back line for both the University of Dallas and Texas A&M International University.

Her playing career began at the University of Dallas in 2012. Along with a handful of her former teammates, Sulak set and shares the record for number of games played in a season (21) and helped lead the Crusaders to a second-place finish in the 2012 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. She also earned the President’s Academic Scholarship for the two semesters she was there.

Sulak transferred to Texas A&M International University, where she was a starter for three seasons and helped the Dustdevils to the Heartland Conference Tournament semifinals in 2014. Academically, Sulak made the honor roll four semesters, the dean’s list two semesters, the All-Heartland Athletic Conference Academic President’s Honor Roll three semesters, and was the first player in TAMIU school history to receive the NCAA Degree Completion Award. In Fall 2016, Sulak received lengthy recognition in the Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, newspaper, El Manana, for her academic and athletic achievements.

In December 2016, Sulak graduated from Texas A&M International University with a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and was salutatorian for the College of Education.

Sulak played under Krys Sobieski and Jon Patterson on the Andromeda '94 Girls club soccer team in Lake Highlands Girls Classic League Division II. Sulak attributes her development as a coach to Sobieski and current Dallas Texans Soccer Club coaches Jon Patterson and Alan Platts.

Sulak is from Frisco, Texas. Her parents are Chris and Deb Sulak, and her brothers are Joshua, Jarek and Justin. She has two dogs – a cairn terrier, Maddie, and a beagle, Bula. She is engaged to Ivan Gonzalez from Mirando City, Texas.
