Mountain View defeats Blinn on the road, 2-0

DALLAS, Texas — Blinn College women's soccer (2-8, 2-5) was defeated by Mountain View College in a non-conference game by the score of 2-0 on Wednesday night.

"We continue to be successful at moments, but we want to work on the final piece and get the ball in the back of the net more," said Jorden Smith, Blinn head coach. "Everything else is coming together and we want to continue to compete at a high level moving forward."

On defense, Zoe Madrid recorded three saves, while Taylor Campos had two saves. Offensively, Blinn took nine shots, five that were on goal, but couldn't get the ball in the back of the net.

Mountain View took a 1-0 lead in the first half after scoring in the 30th minute. In the 62nd minute, the Lions scored their final goal for a 2-0 advantage.

Blinn will return home on Saturday, Sept. 29, to face No. 2 Navarro College at 5 p.m.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
