Seven Buccaneer women’s basketball players sign with four-year universities

The Blinn College women's basketball team will send seven players to four-year universities to continue their playing careers next season.

Three players are staying in the state of Texas. Jasline Chandler (Cleburne) signed with the University of Texas at Tyler, Abigail Whyte (Spring) signed with St. Edward's University, and Ashley Caldwell (Cypress) signed with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Denisha Ford (Navasota) signed with Rogers (Okla.) State Univesity. Karissa Black (Pflugerville) and Brenisha Coleman (Cypress) both signed with Lincoln (Mo.) University, and Jasmine Redmon (Sacramento, Calif.) signed with Jackson (Miss.) State University.

"I am proud of these seven young ladies for earning the opportunity to finish their education and athletic careers at four-year universities," said Jeff Jenkins, Blinn head coach. "We are excited for them."

The Buccaneers are coming off a 19-12 season and a trip to the Region XIV conference tournament.
