Blinn College softball powers past Galveston, 6-5 and 14-10

GALVESTON, Texas — Bailey Zibelin and Kimber Cortemelia each led Blinn's offense with grand slams that allowed Blinn College softball (23-12, 8-0) to come back and beat Galveston College in  two games of a doubleheader Friday afternoon.

Zibelin's grand slam led to a 6-5 victory to open the doubleheader, while Cortemelia's led to a 14-10 win for the sweep.

"Being able to come from behind the way we did with our offense today  is something you always like to see your team be able to do because it gives us confidence moving forward in the season," said Rick Church,  Blinn head coach. "The grand slams deflated Galveston for sure, so it is nice to have that capability this season."
