Blinn College softball signs eight

Blinn College softball signed eight Letters of Intent to be sent in on Thursday, Nov. 2.

"This is one of the best classes as a group that is coming, so we are looking forward to adding to what we are losing and keeping good flexibility with our squad," said Rick Church, head softball coach. "We have a great bunch of outfielders with their offensive ability and ability to run down balls in the outfield and a pitcher coming in who will add to our staff mentality."

Outfielders Mackenzie Crews (Cy-Fair), Kristin Kaiser (A&M Consolidated), Anna Pisaro (Cy-Fair), and Mayela Fernandez (Cy-Ranch), pitcher Ashley Richardson (Calallen), catcher Emelyn Coussou (Beaumont), middle infielder Clarissa Hagler (Vidor), and utility player Bailey Zibelin (Canyon) will join the Blinn Buccaneers for the 2019 season.

Blinn finished the 2017 season with a 37-17 record, including a 19-5 conference record, and placed third in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XIV Tournament.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 36 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
