Buccaneers blow past Schreiner JV, 103-52

BRENHAM, Texas - In the last non-conference game of the season, every player got into the action and contributed to Blinn's 103-52 victory over Schreiner University JV on Wednesday night in the Kruse Center.

"I am happy that everyone got to play and everyone scored in this victory," said Scott Schumacher, Blinn head coach.

All 13 players on the roster scored at least four points in the win, while six players reached double-digit points. Antione Lister led the offense with 13 points, while DJ Johnson and Kae'ron Baker each scored 12 points each. Jaylen Rhone, Fred Tottenham and Tyrus Grayson followed with 10 points apiece.

The Buccaneers jumped to an early 51-12 lead in the first half and carried the momentum for the remainder of the game. Blinn added another 52 points in the second half for the explosive win.

The win marked Blinn's 14th victory at home to improve the Buccaneers' overall record to 17-8.

The Buccaneers will resume conference play on the road against Coastal Bend College on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. Earlier in the season Blinn defeated Coastal Bend, 90-86.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 36 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
