Buccaneers use aggressive offense to down Houston Community College, 93-50

BRENHAM, Texas- The Blinn College men's basketball team used an explosive offense to down Houston Community College, 93-50, on Monday night in the P.E. Building.

"In the first half we had stretches where we really guarded well and played well on the offensive end," said Scott Schumacher, Blinn head coach. "In the second half I thought we did a tremendous job of making simple plays that allowed us to make easy buckets."

Antione Lister led the Buccaneers with 28 points after hitting six of the 14 three pointers scored by the Buccaneers. Markques Houston followed with 12 points, while Gianni Ford followed with 10.

The Buccaneers came out strong in the first half as Lister hit four three-pointers for Blinn to take a 40-18 lead. Blinn continued to dominate in the second half as the Buccaneers scored 53 points to defeat Houston Community College, 93-50.

The Buccaneers improved their record to 6-1 following the win.

Blinn begins conference play against Panola College on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 36 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
