Buccaneers defeat Cisco College, 55-30

The Blinn College football team marked its fourth season victory Saturday after defeating Cisco College 55-30.

Quarterback Jake Hubenak, recently named NJCAA offensive player of the week after throwing 10 touchdowns for an 80-0 victory over Arkansas Baptist College, threw six touchdown passes Saturday, including three to Damion RatleyDarrion Landry also caught two touchdown passes and Dede Westbrook caught one.

Blinn led 28-3 at the half, but Cisco College began to gain ground on the Bucs.

"It wasn't our best game," coach Keith Thomas said. "We had several turnovers. We've got to work to correct that before our next game."

Gaylon Sanders scored a rushing touchdown and Anthony Canady returned an interception to the end zone.

Nick RussellEdgar Luna, and Justin Johnson each recovered one fumble, and Cullen Craft had an interception.

The Bucs concluded the game with 400 offensive yards.
