Jordan Kopycinski begins his eighth season as an assistant coach for the Blinn College baseball team. He assists with catchers, outfielders, and hitters while coaching first base. 

Kopycinski spent five seasons with the Buccaneers before serving as a volunteer coach during the 2017-18 season at Rice University under legendary head coach Wayne Graham. While he coached at Rice, the Owls went 26-31-2. Kopycinski returned to Blinn College for the 2018-19 season. 

In 2020, the Buccaneers posted a 14-9 record before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. In addition, the Blinn baseball team was named a 2019-20 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year after posting a 3.24 GPA.

In the seven seasons that Kopycinski has been with the Buccaneers, Blinn has posted a 195-166-1 record, made five appearances at the Region XIV Tournament, played in two Region XIV championship games, and made one trip to the JUCO World Series in 2014.

Prior to coming to Blinn, Kopycinski spent a year and a half as an assistant coach with Texas State University, coaching catchers and first basemen. Kopycinski joined the Bobcats' coaching staff after a successful playing career at Texas State that included two conference championships and all-conference honors. In 2006, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Kopycinski earned his bachelor's degree in exercise sports science from Texas State in 2010.
