20th-ranked Blinn baseball heads into the Region XIV Tournament as the No. 2 seed

The 20th-ranked Blinn College baseball team holds the No. 2 seed in the South Zone Division heading into the 2018 NJCAA Region XIV Baseball Tournament that will take place May 12-16 at Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas.

The Buccaneers enter the tournament with a 36-15 overall record and 25-8 conference record.

Blinn will open the tournament against Northeast Texas Community College on Saturday, May 12, at 1 p.m. Northeast Texas clinched the No. 3 seed in the East Zone Division after recording a 32-20 overall record and 17-13 conference record.

The tournament champion will advance to the 2018 Junior College World Series in Grand Junction, Colo., May 26-June 2.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
